Calocedrus decurrens
Stately, columnar conifer with fragrant fanned foliage and cinnamon bark. Drought-tolerant once established and the traditional source of pencil wood. Its aromatic leaflets have traditionally flavored and protected acorns during the leaching process, rather than being eaten on their own.
