Golden Canna
Canna flaccida
Golden canna is the native canna of Southeastern marshes and ditches, with bold paddle leaves and large soft-yellow flowers loved by hummingbirds. A tropical-looking accent for wet, sunny ground. The starchy root is a traditional source of arrowroot starch, and very young tubers can be cooked and eaten, sweet but fibrous.
