Log Fern
Dryopteris celsa
Log fern takes its name from its habit of rooting on rotting stumps in Southeastern swamps. Tall, upright, glossy fronds hold their colour late and stay semi-evergreen in mild winters. A natural hybrid of Goldie's and southern wood fern that breeds true, and one of the best large ferns for wet shade.
