Ephedra nevadensis
A Great Basin shrub of stiff, pale gray-green jointed stems, more upright and grayer than green Mormon tea. Deep-rooted and thoroughly drought-proof, it is browsed by desert bighorn and gives cover to small desert animals. Good bones for an unirrigated xeriscape.
