Swamp Fetterbush
Eubotrys racemosa
Swamp fetterbush carries one-sided racemes of fragrant white urn flowers along arching branches in spring, followed by good red-bronze autumn colour. A deciduous cousin of the evergreen doghobbles and easier in sun than they are, provided the soil is acid and never dries. Still widely sold as Leucothoe racemosa.
