Oceanspray
Holodiscus discolor
Arching branches drip with foamy, cream-colored flower plumes in early summer that fade to tan and persist. A drought-tough pollinator shrub whose hard wood was prized for tools. The small, dry fruit has been eaten, though it's a minor food at best.
