Whorled Loosestrife
Lysimachia quadrifolia

A distinctive forest-edge perennial with leaves arranged in neat whorls of four (sometimes five) along the stem. Starry yellow flowers with small red eyes bloom from the leaf axils, creating a tiered candle-like effect in early summer. Prefers acidic, well-drained soils.
