Chaparral Mallow
Malacothamnus fasciculatus
A fast, soft grey-felted chaparral mallow that covers itself in small pink cups along wandy stems. One of the quickest natives for filling space on a raw slope, and among the first to return after fire. Short-lived and inclined to sprawl — cut it hard to keep it furnished at the base.
