Water Cowbane
Oxypolis filiformis
Water cowbane is a slender Southeastern wetland member of the carrot family, with flat white flower umbels feeding pollinators in wet pine savannas and marsh edges. Like its cousin water hemlock it should be treated as poisonous — no wild Apiaceae is safe to eat without expert, absolutely certain identification.
