Grass-of-Parnassus
Parnassia glauca
Grass-of-Parnassus holds a single waxy white cup, veined in translucent green, atop each slender stalk above a rosette of blue-green leaves. Sterile false stamens tipped with glistening beads sit at the centre, luring flies to a nectar that isn't there. A fen plant needing wet, cool, limy ground.
