Parrot Pitcher Plant
Sarracenia psittacina
A pitcher plant that lies down. Its lobster-trap pitchers sprawl flat in a rosette rather than standing up, so it is often submerged during the wet season and catches aquatic prey as well as insects. Needs the same recipe as the rest of the genus: pure peat and sand, standing rainwater, and full sun.
