Stiff Goldenrod

Bold, flat-topped golden clusters cap rigid, leathery stems with gray-green leaves in late summer and fall. An invaluable late-season nectar source for migrating butterflies and native bees. Like all goldenrods, its heavy, sticky pollen is carried by insects rather than wind and does not cause hay fever.
