Everglades Palm
Acoelorraphe wrightii
A clustering native fan palm that builds a multi-trunked clump, each slender stem wrapped in persistent fibre and topped by stiff green fans with silvery undersides. One of the few palms genuinely happy in standing water, so it suits pond edges and low wet corners. Sold everywhere in South Florida as paurotis palm.
