Florida Silver Palm
Coccothrinax argentata
A slow, slender fan palm of pine rockland and coastal hammock, its leaves deep green above and brilliant silver beneath so the whole crown flashes in wind. Extremely drought- and salt-tolerant once established. The slow growth makes it expensive, but also perfectly scaled for courtyards and small gardens.
