Myrsine
Myrsine floridana
A narrow, strongly upright Florida shrub whose leaves cluster toward the branch tips, giving it an oddly architectural look that suits tight spaces and screening. Tiny flowers stud the bare wood in winter, followed by dark fruit close along the stems. Long sold as Rapanea punctata; salt- and shade-tolerant and close to indestructible once rooted.
