Distinctive whitened (hoary) upper leaves act as flower-like bracts long before and after actual bloom. Spotted pale lavender flowers. Pollinator powerhouse in shade tolerance Pycnanthemum lacks elsewhere. Like other mountain mints, the leaves brew into an aromatic tea.
