Green Prairie Coneflower

A knee-high shortgrass-prairie coneflower with a stout greenish-brown central cone and short rays in yellow, mahogany or both, often on the same plant. Aromatic when brushed. Far more compact and drought-hardy than the familiar prairie coneflowers, and better suited to a small dry bed.
