Utah Agave
Agave utahensis
The cold-hardiest agave, clinging to limestone cliffs and ledges across the Intermountain West and surviving well below freezing where drainage is sharp. Small tight rosettes of narrow gray leaves offset into colonies. Winter wet, not cold, is what kills it in gardens.
